Dannii Minogue and I had something in common this week - it was all about sleeveless gold dresses!

The glamorous Ms Minogue was shining in gold on X Factor Sunday night and right there I knew her stylist and I were on the same wavelength - albeit on a different budget! The glamour of gold was also confirmed in the latest Harper’s Bazaar magazine.

I don’t need a celebrity or a glossy mag to tell me when I’m ahead of the frenetic-paced fashion game. No siree, I have developed my own style, which is continually evolving.

One of the best ways of developing your own personal style is to copy someone you admire. You may not want to steal their top-to-toe look, but you can pinch bits and pieces. Always keep in mind how you can accentuate the best parts of your body, and disguise your least favourite bits! A jacket is a great piece to work with but make it form-fitting and shorter in length if you’re petite. If your hips are a headache then make sure your jacket doesn’t end at the widest part of your body; it won’t do you any favours!

This Spicysugar number was a bit short for my liking but what the heck, I’ve been working these pins hard!

I’ve cooked up some serious power food tonight so I better go and plate up - steamed rice, baked salmon with Asian-style sauce, & steamed asparagus, broccoli, snow peas & carrots. Have a great week.
